In 2022, after years of careful planning, Nicolas, a French expatriate living in China, set out to bring his long-held dream to life: opening a premium hotel residence, L’Envol, on Belle-Île-en-Mer, a picturesque island off the coast of Brittany, France.

Nicolas was dedicated to carefully designing the atmosphere of his hotel residence through the selection of lighting and fabrics, handcrafted wooden elements, and stone decor, all sourced from a variety of suppliers across China. While doing so, he was guided by both his passion for the region the hotel was to be set in and his appreciation for the quality craftsmanship available in his host country.

An Intricate Project

Nicolas faced the intricate task of sourcing a wide array of decor and materials from different parts of China, all while ensuring timely delivery to a remote location in France.

With over 30 suppliers involved, the challenge lied in coordinating these shipments efficiently. ASI Logistics played a crucial role in this process, offering flexibility and precision in managing the deliveries’ schedule and diverse logistics requirements.

From our strategically located warehouse in Shenzhen, ASI Logistics received and consolidated shipments, ensuring that each product was handled with care. Nicolas praised our team’s service in that regard, highlighting the efficiency of our operations.

Timeliness & Coordination

Shipment from China to France

The consolidation process was meticulously planned in consultation with our customer to maximize efficiency and meet his requirements. Our teams coordinated the delivery of two 30cbm containers from China to France, optimizing the space and ensuring that all items were included.

Thanks to our timely operations and meticulous preparation, the shipment arrived at Le Havre on schedule, with customs clearance completed within 24 hours.

After reaching the port, ASI Logistics coordinated the final leg of the journey to Quiberon, where only authorized transporters could take the goods to Belle-Île-en-Mer. With the shipment arriving on June 20th, just in time for installation before the June 23rd deadline, we ensured that every aspect of Nicolas’ timeline was respected.

Customs Clearance: A Critical Step

One of the key aspects of international shipping is customs clearance, which can often be a source of anxiety for businesses. For this project, ASI Logistics ensured a smooth customs process, successfully navigating the complexities involved. We handled all necessary paperwork efficiently, allowing for customs clearance to be completed within just 24 hours.

Nicolas was particularly relieved to have our expertise in this area, as he was unfamiliar with certain requirements, such as obtaining the Economic Operators Registration and Identification (EORI) number needed for imports into the European Union. Our team's guidance not only simplified this process but also ensured compliance with all regulatory standards, making the entire experience much more manageable for our customer.
